  9. To the family of Rose Marie. Rose was my Godmother and the best friend of my mother Helen Hirkala Faccinto who was also from Weirton and attended Catholic Central HS. Since I left Steubenville at the young age of 5 years in 1955 due to the fact that we relocated from Steubenville to Las Vegas I was unable to spend much time with Rose, but I remember her very well since we came back to Steubenville and Weirton every summer for the next 10 years. I will never forget her smile, laugh and most of all her kindness to everyone. A real class act. The last time I saw my Godmother was when I was visiting my Aunt Mary Ference in Weirton many moons ago. My aunt lived on Colliers Way and Rose lived right down the street. I was so happy to see her, after all you only have one Godmother and Rose welcomed me with open arms and she was just as excited to see me as I was excited. My mother \”Herky\” always talked about Rosie, and always said she was her best friend. Mom passed in 2005, and now they are laughing again together. Thank you for letting me say good bye to my Godmother and God Bless all or you. Al Faccinto, Jr.
