shawn clemens

Shawn Allen Clemens, 49, of Steubenville, OH, beloved son of Judith A. Clemens Tennant and stepson of Michael E. Tennant, passed away on July 7, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio.

Born on August 22, 1973, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Shawn brought joy and love to the lives of those around him.

Shawn had a passion for sports, particularly as an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He could often be found cheering for his team even though his mother liked the 49ers and his stepdad was a huge Dallas fan.

One of Shawn’s greatest talents was his artistic ability. He possessed a remarkable gift for drawing and had a keen eye for capturing beauty and expressing emotions through his art. His talent and creativity were admired by all who had the privilege of seeing his work. Whether it was on paper or canvas, Shawn’s art touched the hearts and minds of those who encountered it.

Beyond his artistic endeavors, Shawn had a profound knowledge of the Bible, particularly the book of Revelations. His deep understanding and insight into the scriptures were admired by friends, family and his pastor alike. He possessed a rare ability to interpret and convey the profound messages found within the pages of the Bible, sharing his wisdom with those who sought his guidance.

Shawn attended the Follansbee Christian Assembly Church, where he loved singing with his buddy, George Kokos.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.

Shawn’s passing leaves a void in the lives of his loved ones and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will be cherished by his mother, Judith A. Clemens Tennant, his stepfather, Michael E. Tennant, and all of his family and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, private services were held to celebrate Shawn’s life and honor his memory. Although his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit and the impact he made during his time on Earth will continue to inspire and uplift us.

May Shawn Allen Clemens rest in eternal peace, knowing that he touched the lives of many and left behind a legacy of love, artistry, and faith.

Services and cremation were provided by the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.

Pastor Joseph F. Cuomo presided.
