Loving father, husband and son, Steven Michael Budney, 33, of Weirton, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born January 24, 1979 in Weirton, he was the son of David Budney of Tarpon Springs, FL and Betty Link Kelly of Toronto, OH. Steven worked as an operator for AZZ, Inc. in Benwood, WV. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. His favorite pastime was spending time with "his girls", who he unconditionally and irrevocably loved and supported with every fiber of his being. In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by his loving wife Schanda Budash Budney whom he married October 15, 2004; daughter Ava Jane Budney, who he reffered to his "Minnie- Me" both of Weirton; step-father David Kelly of Toronto, OH; maternal grandmother Betty Link of New Manchester, WV; brothers David Budney, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and James Budney of East Liverpool, OH; step-brother Nathan Kelly of Columbus, OH and step-sister Nicole Jones of Columbus, OH. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Tuesday, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Larry Dorsch officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Ava J. Budney Education Fund C/O Sue Shank Wesbanco 3265 Main Street Weirton, WV 26062

  15. well here is the rest of mine. when we talked he talked about his wife & little girl. when i heard and seen it on facebook i was so shocked & its hard to beleive oh. i never met his wife or little girl but knew from just talking to him a little bit here & there on facebook that he was glad to have them oh. he was happy & loved them very much. THERE IS NEVER ANYTHING U CAN SAY TO HELP EASE THE PAIN RIGHT NOW. i just want to say I AM THINKING & PRAYING FOR U GUYS.   20. Steve was one of the greatest men my husband and I know and we are deeply saddened by his passing. He was our best friend and not a day goes by that we will miss Greatly. I remember sneaking out and swimming at Gram’s with Steve..he helped teach me to swim there. We didn’t talk much the last few years or see each other, but I still loved him very much. He was a great cousin.

  32. I taught Steve when he was a student at Mercy Baptist Academy. He made me laugh every single day. He was a good man and I know he will be sorely missed by all who love him.
