Susan Callas

Susan Callas, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at her home. Born in Smock, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Suzanne Swartz Rodak. Susan was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. (Tony) Callas on January 29, 1981, brothers Pete and Michael Rodak and sisters Bertha Letcher, Mary Yacos and Helen Harcarik. For 40 years, Susan worked at the Rodak's Men's Shop in Weirton and was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church. Wherever she went, she was always surrounded by her many friends and family. Susan is survived by her nieces and nephews and long time family friend Reverend Monsignor Steven McCarren of Nokomis, Florida and dear friends & caretakers Bob and Sherry Eltringham. Final Blessing for Mrs. Callas will be 8:30AM Saturday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, followed by the 9AM funeral Mass at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church. Reverend Father Ed Lucas will officiate. Interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA.
