Thomas Edward Kazienko, 63, of Weirton died Saturday April 23, 2011, at the UPMC Montefiore Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA. Born September 20, 1947, in Steubenville, OH, Tom was the son of the late Walter E. and Mary Platko Kazienko. Tom served his country during the Vietnam War, in the United States Navy. He retired as a production foreman on the number 9 tandem mill of Weirton Steel. After his retirement he worked part time with Sherwin Williams in Weirton. He was a member of the BPOE 1801, and the VFW 2716. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, but nothing compared to spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, and best friend, Roberta Solomon Kazienko, whom he married on April 20, 1969; his son, Dr. Brian Kazienko, and his wife Dani Karpinski Kazienko; his beloved grandchildren, Nate and Katarina Kazienko; and a sister, Patricia Straka. Visitation will be 5 PM until time of funeral services at 8 PM Monday, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton. Associate Pastor of the Family of God Christian Center, George Gerbo will preside. Interment will be Tuesday in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, with US Navy Funeral Honors.   7. Roberta, We are so sorry for your loss. Every day I would look to see if Tom was on the porch in the morning and in the evening we would joke around, talk about the grandkids, the day he would always be there. He was an icon on Cloma Circle! We all loved him.
