Thomas Edward Wansack, known to many as "Psycho," 61, of Weirton passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born July 3, 1953 in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of Alma Jean (Lenhart) Wansack and the late George J. "Flash" Wansack. Tom retired from WSX after 30 years, primarily in the diesel shop. He enjoyed taking care of and cooking for his mom and Aunt Grace after taking his daily morning walks. When Tom was around there was never a stranger in the room. He enjoyed cheering for his favorite teams, Pirates and Steelers. Tom is survived by his mother Alma Jean (Lenhart) Wansack, brothers Timothy Wansack and Mark Wansack and his wife Karen all of Weirton. He is also survived by nephews Matthew, George and John and a niece Mary. Visitation will be held Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Wednesday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Manuel Gelido officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Tom.
