trueheart kester

Trueheart “Trudy” Louise Kester, 75, of Nashua, New Hampshire, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2026.

She was born on July 5, 1950, in Weirton, West Virginia, one of six children born to the late Frank and Marylene (Thomas) Culler.

Trueheart was a graduate of Weir High School, Class of 1968, and later retired from Aetna, where she worked as a customer service representative. Trueheart found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved baking her famous cookies, treasured by all who were lucky enough to enjoy them, traveling to the Mountaineer Racetrack, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Family was always her greatest happiness.

A former member of Saint Paul Catholic Church before relocating to New Hampshire in September 2016, Trueheart was known for her kindness, loyalty, and sensitive heart. To her only son, she was simply the best mom in the world, and to her grandson, the very
best “Grandmama.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald Culler, Charles Culler, Gary Culler, and her former husband, Larry A. Kester Sr.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Larry Allen Kester, Jr. (Brandy Vigorita); her devoted partner of more than 31 years, Peter “Pete” Braunert; her brother, James “Jim”Culler (Vicki); her sister, Kathy Hall; and her cherished grandson, Shane Kester; and many nieces and nephews that she deeply cared for.

A visitation and a Liturgy of the Word Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton.
