Virginia Stevens, 97, of Follansbee, WV died Saturday, June 14, 2003 at the Brightwood Nursing Home, Follansbee. She was born on February 26, 1906 in Middlebourne, WV, a daughter of the late Slater Benson Rush and Mary Elizabeth (Steine) Rush. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Stevens; one daughter, Eunice Stevens; three sons, Norman, Charles, and Leslie Stevens; two brothers; one grandson; and one granddaughter. Virginia was a homemaker. She attended the Salvation Army. She is survived by four sons, Virgil Stevens of Alvy, WV, Ray and Jack Stevens, both of Weirton, and Ronald Stevens of Colliers, WV; two daughters, Pearl Wade of Colliers, and Joann McSwigen of Steubenville, OH; one sister, Maude Mokry of Texas; and 47 grandchildren, 117 great grandchildren, and 55 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday. Pastor Carl Tribett will preside.
