Walter Frank Robinson, 68, of Weirton passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Hampton Regional Medical Center, Varnville, South Carolina. Born April 14, 1950 in Auburn, NY, he was a son of the late Ellwood and Mabyn (Clark) Robinson. He was also preceded in death by his son Dannie Tanner and daughter Missy Tanner and sister Joni Robinson. Walter was a life-long truck driver and most recently worked for Smith Transport. He proudly served in the United States Marines during Vietnam. He was a die-hard Redskins fan and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Deanne (Tilla) Robinson of Weirton, sons Shane Hackett of Union Springs, NY and Brett Robinson of Harveys Lake, PA; daughters Jolene (Tony) Bui of Weedsport, NY and Savannah Robinson of Tunkhannock, PA; Step-daughter Melissa (Shane) Mackey of Wellsburg; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers Gary (Debbie) Robinson of Auburn, NY, Ronnie (Laura) Robinson of Silver Springs, FL, Mark (Cindy) Robinson of Port Byron, NY and Jesse (Zennie) Walters of San Diego, CA; sisters Cindy (Bobby) Purcell of Auburn, NY, Nancy (Jim) Carey of Monte Zuma, NY, Susan (Chuck) Hillard of Venice City, NY, Sally Hagan of Auburn, NY and Mabyn Royko of Auburn, NY. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc, Weedsport New York, where a memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11AM. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Indian Mound Cemetery, Morazia, NY. A remembrance will be held immediately following burial at the Morazia VFW. Memorial contributions may be made to the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 4100 Allequippa St., Pgh, PA 15213 or to the CLL Foundation, 1721 North Blvd., Houston, Texas 77098.
