Walter Joseph Kliwinski, 92, of Weirton, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020, in the Weirton Geriatric Center. He was born September 28, 1927, in Trenton, New Jersey. A son of the late George and Victoria Olszewski Kliwinski. He was also preceded in death by his wife Frances Mikulewwicz February 24, 2020, and son Barry Kliwinski June 1, 2015; brothers Steven, Anthony, Charles, and Victor Kliwinski; sisters, Stella Dillon, Eleanor Rosseau, Jean Raszewski, Angelina Kliwinski, Helen Butler-Smith, and Mary Weir. Mr. Kliwinski was employed at National Steel Corporation for over 25 years as an Industrial Engineer. Educated at the University of Pennsylvania, Walter also furthered his studies at the Wharton School of Business. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 3734, and the Holy Name Society. Walter served his country as a proud member of the United States Army’s Second Infantry Division. Walter is survived by his sons David(Mary) Kliwinski of Doylestown, Pa., and Bruce Kliwinski of Pittsburgh, Pa.; daughters, Diane Kliwinski of Coraopolis, Pa., and Linda(Matt) Pihony of Freeport, Pa., granddaughters, Jessica, Kelsey, and Terra Kliwinski. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Ave., Weirton, WV.
