Wayne Andrew Harkins
February 20, 1961 ~ August 22, 2022
Wayne A. Harkins of Weirton passed away at Brightwood Center in Follansbee on Monday, August 22, 2022. He was 61 years old.
He was born on February 20, 1961, one of two sons to Wayne and Gloria Lee Harkins.
A member of the 1979 graduating class of Weir High School, Wayne served his country proudly in United States Army in Germany working with the Hawk Missile Crew.
Wayne’s brother Matt remembers him with a loud thunderous voice, as a jokester, and an avid Steelers fan. He spent much of his time watching MMA Fighting and listening to his favorite Classic Rock Artists, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Van Halen.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory is his brother Matt Harkins of Weirton.
Wayne’s request for cremation has been honored, and no services are planned at this time.
Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
