Willa R. Cole, 89, of Weirton, went home to be with her savior on Thursday, December 7, 2006. Born June 26, 1917 in Czar, WV, she was 1 of 13 children of the late Curt and Eva R. (Tallman) Golden of French Creek, WV. Willa was also preceded in death by her husband, Goff Cole; 2 children, infant daughter, Margaret Ann Cole, and son, Charles William Cole; and 4 brothers, and 1 sister. Willa was a loving homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her yard. She loved all flowers, especially the pink ones. Willa’s survivors include her son, Kessler Cole and his wife Naomi (Mallas) of Weirton; three daughters, Norma McIe and her husband John of Weirton, Mary McAbee and her husband George of Weirton, and Karen Vespaziani and her husband Ronald of Hookstown, PA.; daughter-in-law, Eva Cole of N.C.; 6 sisters; 1 brother; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren also survive her. The family will receive friends Monday, December 11, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM Tuesday with Pastor Jason Romine and Reverend Darrell Cashdollar officiating.
