Florence Agnes (Martin) Demko, formerly of Weirton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday October 30, 2012. She was born May 22, 1930 in Parma OH to the late George Martin and Celia Jozefkowicz Martin Brzoska. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Nicholas Demko; step-father John I. Brzoska; her brothers: Nicholas P. Martin and George P. Martin; and grandson Kelly Youngers. She and her husband were owners of Nicholas Beauty Salon in Steubenville, OH and Weirton. For 50 years she enjoyed bowling and served as Secretary/Treasurer for several leagues. She was inducted into the WV Bowling Hall of Fame. She was also an avid golfer, enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She lived the last seven years in Perry, Georgia, where she met many good friends. Her memory will be ever treasured by her five children Laura Demko-Higdon of Huntsville Al; George Demko (Lynn) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Nicholas John Demko of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Pamela Demko Yuill (Barry) of Bonaire, Georgia and Florence Demko Youngers (David) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and her sister Amelia Sovich (Richard) of Danville, California. Flo was blessed with 13 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. On Saturday, November 17 from 24 pm, a Celebration of Florence's Life will be held at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

  4. Bubba, even though you are gone, I still hear you calling me “Farrina Farrina”! You are the only one that was ever allowed to call me that and even though our conversations and visits were few and far between, I still hear it as clear as a bell.
