Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. Howard was not only a good friend, he was one of the finest men I have ever met. Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult of times. If there is anything you need or anything I can do please let me know. God Bless, John Lyonett

  2. To the family, my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your loved one. As you cope with your loss, may you be comforted by the “Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort” (2 Cor 1:3) that one day, “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29) May these promises from God’s word, the Bible give you comfort now and real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.

  3. My sincere condolences to the family. Grew up together on Walker road. We were on the first wrestling team at Follansbee High School . Graduated together and went on WLSC. We drove to Daytona Beach together . I think the first trip to the ocean for the both of us. He was a good guy.
    May his memory be eternal.

  4. Howard was my brother-in-law. His wit and sense of humor always helped make family gatherings more special. I will always remember the camping and fishing trips we took together many years ago. He will be greatly missed.

  5. I love you Daddy. I would come to get you and bring you back, but, reality it setting in. I would love to talk to you on the phone, but I send texts everyday. I keep expecting you to answer…… one of my favorite pictures. I was a cute baby

  6. My deepest condolences to Diana and the family. Howard was a respected colleague in Brooke County. We attended many meetings together over the years we both taught. May God surround you with His love, comfort and support during this very difficult time.
    God bless.
    Betty Lou Harris

  7. My condolences to the family. I played softball with Howard for about 5 years in the City of Weirton league and he was our teams pitcher. Howard was also a very good batter as well and we managed to win a trophy or two in that league. Always a smile on his face and glad to be with the other guys. I will always remember him as a gentleman. Jon Phillips

  8. My deepest condolences to his family. Mr. Illig was my 7th/8th grade math teacher back in the late 1970s. I was good at math and encouraged me to be more confident about advancing my math skills. I wish I would have listened to him. My favorite memory was beating him in backgammon to win the class backgammon tournament. 🙂 I’m grateful to have been his student.

  9. Through grade school and high school Howard was an unfailingly quiet friendly person with whom to share the sometimes difficult experience of public education. That he became a spouse, parent, teacher, and coach show a gentle caring spirit that he never lost. Surely the sting of separation is ameliorated by the knowledge that he is now home and, and Revelation promises, we will see him again.

    Brenda “Bradford” Ward

  10. I am very sorry for your loss . Losing a loved one in death is such a difficult thing to experience . Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible . Jesus tells us at John 5 : 28 , 29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out . What a loving provision put in place by the God of all comfort so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones live again one day . Meanwhile as I pray for that day to come I ask Jehovah God to bless your family and give each of you the strength to endure this most trying time . For more information please visit jw.org .
