martin bronowicz
Martin Francis Bronowicz, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, at his residence on Putnam Lane; he was 61 years old. He was born January 3, 1959, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the second child of four born to the late Edward and Virginia Kress Bronowicz; Martin grew up in Lawrenceville. Nourishing his Faith from a young age at Saint Kieran Roman Catholic Church and Grade School, Martin was a graduate of Bishop Boyle High School in Homestead, PA.; if you knew Martin, you would have known a healthy, compassionate, caring individual that carried his strong Faith throughout his life. Martin served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Martin was an accomplished Coded Welder belonging to the Boilmaker’s Union 154 from Pittsburgh. He was very much the handyman, and if something needed fixed or remodeled, he would do it himself. His son Brandon said, “ His passion was to create; he loved to create things.” His artistic ways lead him to paint, metal fabrication, and making all types of gadgets. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Brandon Bronowicz of Weirton, brother Edward Bronowicz of Pittsburgh, and sisters Virginia (Kevin) Burns and Janine (Michael) Garlicki of Pittsburgh, and former wife Lynn Sellitti of Weirton. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at a later date. Share tributes and memories at www.grecohertnick.com 304-748-3219. 3. To My Beloved Brother Martin, Saying goodbye to you was emotionally crippling for me. In our beginning it was just me and you. We had each other, no others. It was just Eddie and Martin until our beautiful sisters came along. We grew together, you and I. The bond was never broken from childhood to our much later years. We always took care of each other through thick and thin. I will miss you everday of my life. Thanks for these great memories that you left me. Thank you for being there for me in my time of sorrows to lift me up, dust me off, assure me of better days ahead. You were a rock, my rock. Rest In Peace with Christ Our Lord and Our Beloved Mother and Father. Your Loving Brother, Eddie

  4. Martin was one of my personal heroes growing up. He was the cool cousin. At my daughter’s wedding in November 2019 I quoted to all guests in attendance from the letter that Martin provided to my wife and I on our wedding day more than 30 years ago. It was timeless advice from an unexpected source. The McDermott family will always cherish the camping trips we had the privilege to have with the Bronowicz family growing up and Martin of course was a huge highlight. My brother’s and I still sing a fishing song he composed and I think about some of his other quotes frequently. Martin will surely be missed. Eddie, Virginia, Jeanine – so sorry. Paul McDermott (cousin)
