Nancy L. Magnone, 64, of Weirton passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2017 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born on December 18, 1952, in Bellaire, OH, Nancy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annette (Salerno) Scaffidi of Bellaire. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jo Warner and her husband, Bonaventura "Tom" Magnone. Nancy was a nurse at the Weirton Geriatric Center for 28 years and a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, WV. She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, playing bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters Mary Ball of Weirton, WV, and Annette Holmes (Jeffrey) of Port Jefferson, OH ; son Frank Magnone of Genoa, OH; grandchildren, Kari, Megan, Andrew, and Jayme Ball, Raymond, Emily, Hailey, and Ashlee Holmes; brother, Joseph Scaffidi (Mary) of Cape Coral, Florida and sister Tina Goodrich of Peoria, Arizona. In accordance to Nancy's wishes her body will be cremated without a prior viewing. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, WV on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 9:30AM.   4. So sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. I was a college friend of her sister, Tina, and I remember Nancy showing me how to make a chocolate eclair dessert with Mrs. Scaffidi in their Bellaire home. I still make this dessert and always think of Nancy when I do. My condolences to the family and I hope fond memories will provide you comfort.
